Professional gamer income source in South Korea 2023
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023 among 131 professional e-sports gamers, around 84 percent of respondents stated that receiving a salary was a source of income for them. Professional gamers employed by teams or collectives generally receive salaries alongside other, more flexible income source opportunities. The most common sources of irregular income among professional gamers was award money won during competitions.
